JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Computer Network Technician
Duty Station: Washington State, USA
Reports To: Sr. Field Technician Manager
Job Summary
A Computer Network Technician at Omnivir is a team player with effective interpersonal skills. They have a client-centric focus, take initiative, use good judgment, and are well organized. They work with a high level of accuracy and great attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks.
An Omnivir Network Technician has excellent oral & written communication skills, along with an ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Our technicians must be available at least 2-3 days per week, Monday–Friday. Technicians also commute to client sites, and therefore, a personal reliable vehicle is a requirement.
Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with professionalism, a commitment to excellence, and attention to detail.
Technicians must be available for work at least 2-3 days during weekdays, not weekends or weeknights.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, and peripheral equipment
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
- Load computer tapes and disks, and install software and printer paper, and forms
- Provide problem-solving services to network users
- Perform routine network startup and shut down and maintain control records
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
- Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet

The Computer Network Technician should also be familiar with and have technical knowledge of:

- Mail server software
- Desktop publishing software

Pay: $25.00 per hour
